Altman Communications is a professional copywriting and marketing consultancy run by myself, Leon Altman. I started Altman Communications in 1995 after working as a copywriter and creative dirctor at top ad agencies, and as marketing communications director for a trade magazine.

A brief history
I started as a copywriter over 25 years ago at Y&R Special Markets, the division of Young and Rubicam that handled b2b and direct marketing. I wrote for clients such as Maersk Shipping, United Technologies, and Frequent Flyer magazine.
Copywriter, creative director, marketing director
Since then I've worked with major agencies and companies, as a copywriter, associate creative director, creative director and marketing director. Agencies have included Young&Rubicam (main division); BBDO and DDB/Needham. I worked on many top accounts Time Magazine, Johnson&Johnson, Merrill Lynch, Coldwell Banker.
After heading up marketing communications for the launch of Buyside Magazine (for institutional investors) I became a freelance writer and consultant, and started Altman Communications.
